At Camp La Jolla, we begin creating a supportive environment even before you arrive at camp. Once enrolled, Camp La Jolla conducts a pre-camp over the phone interview to get to know you and your expectations for your summer camp experience. This pre-camp interview helps us hand select your ideal group and counselor. We also alleviate concerns, answer questions, and become the first of many friends you will make at Camp La Jolla.
Financial Options
- You may have health insurance coverage that includes reimbursement for participating in a weight loss program. After receiving a physician’s referral that establishes you as obese or having obesity-related medical conditions that may include heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or sleep apnea and a doctor’s recommendation that you lose weight, you may want to contact your insurance company directly to review if your plan may reimburse part of your camp tuition.
- According to IRS Ruling 202-19, weight loss program costs may be tax deductible. You may wish to contact your tax advisor for information on your eligibility for medical deductions for participating in a weight loss program with a physician’s referral letter.
